What Is a Follicular Monitoring Test?

Follicular monitoring is an advanced technique of frequently monitoring the ovarian follicles using ultrasound to check for egg mutation and to map the ovulation process. The follicular test, which also looks for follicular cysts in the ovaries, is an essential part of timing, IVF evaluation, and many other treatments. A follicular scan is also necessary for women using a reproductive medication to monitor drug response and modify the dose.

Many infertility clinics in Chandigarh provide follicular monitoring test services at affordable prices. However, you need to do extensive research to find the best one.

This test helps determine the growth of unnecessary and essential follicles in the ovarian region. The unusual growth of follicles is the key sign of ovarian cancer; on the other hand, under-development of follicles can be a significant cause of fertility as their role is to hold the egg until it gets mature and release steroid hormones.

How Is follicular ?

The follicular study is carried out in a lab environment via transvaginal ultrasound. The ultrasounds take images of the ovarian region that help physicians to diagnose the underlying health issue. In this procedure, the female lies on the bed on their back with raised legs. After that, a trained ultrasonologist inserted a probe, also called a transducer, into the vagina to have deep insight into your ovarian follicles. The time duration of this study is not fixed and may vary between 15-20 minutes.

It is important to note that a patient should have an empty stomach when undergoing this test because  full bladder.

How Much Does IT Cost?

Often, a follicular monitoring test is performed as part of infertility treatment and sometimes to diagnose any other condition. In India, this procedure costs much less than in other countries. You need to pay around 1000 Rs for a single sitting, while 30,000 Rs for the complete package. However, this price can vary depending on the city and hospital amenities. You can take Google’s help for this by showing reliable ratings and reviews. We suggest you always go with a pocket-friendly and reliable option.

Treatments That Required Follicular Monitoring Test

To Confirm PCOS

To confirm PCOS, a patient must have an ultrasound of the ovaries. This can be done before treatment to determine the number of follicles, their size, and whether or not they are in the proper location for egg production.

The doctor will need to review the results with you and decide how best to proceed. If your doctor suspects that you may have PCOS, they will likely recommend taking two menstrual cycles off from any birth control methods before beginning treatment.

Identify Cause Of Infertility

Follicular study is a crucial part of infertility treatment. Doctors often suggest a follicular monitoring test if a couple has been experiencing infertility for 1-2 years. This identifies whether follicles are grown ideal or not.

Determine Cause Of Irregular Cycles

The ovarian follicular test becomes indispensable if you have irregular periods or early menopause. It will help to detect the root cause of the problem.

Unusual Growth Of Ovarian Follicles

As discussed above, unusual growth of follicles can cause tumors or several other issues. Hence, it must be detected and treated on time.

How To Prepare For A Follicular Test?

The second day of menstruation is when the follicular scan is performed. Up until ovulation, the scan will be performed every other day. Take a bath, and dress comfortably in items that allow the scan to be performed. Except as directed by the doctor, there are no dietary restrictions to be followed before the scan. If the doctor has directed you to take any medications, ensure you do so before the scan. He will advise you to empty your bladder before the scan starts.

Is Follicular Monitoring Test Safe?

Don’t worry- if you are suggested to have a follicular monitoring test. It is completely safe and does not affect your conception; however, you need to find the best gynecologist in your area for follicular tracking.

Fifty-six people were killed and over 200 people were injured in these blasts.

The 2008 Ahmedabad bombings were a series of 21 bomb blasts that hit Ahmedabad, India, on 26 July 2008, within a span of 70 minutes. Fifty-six people were killed and over 200 people were injured.

A special court in Gujarat on Friday pronounced the death sentence to 38 out of 49 convicts and 11 to life imprisonment. These blasts were carried out by people associated with the terrorist organization Indian Mujahideen (IM) and the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Several TV channels said they had received an e-mail from a terror outfit called Indian Mujahideen claiming responsibility for the terror attacks; Islamic militant group Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami, however, has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

These bombings occurred a day after the Bangalore blasts in the Indian state of Karnataka. After the blast, the Surat Police of Gujarat recovered 29 bombs from different areas of the city between 28 July and 31 July 2008, 17 of them in Varachha area and others in Katargam, Mahidharpura and Umra areas.

Domestic violence is the consequence of a sick mind. It’s not a mistake, it’s crime. But what happens on the other side of the door? What choices does a domestic violence victim really have in India, if any?

We all know a domestic violence victim. In an ideal world, they would speak up and report the heinous act at the very first instance. The perpetrator would be penalized under the law and it would all end right there.

However, in the real world, where conditioning and society exist, it’s not the obvious choice to make. And how could it be?

Women, since childhood, are conditioned to endurance. Practicing endurance in their relationships and putting up superficial personas in the society are two of women’s primary lessons that are taught sometimes consciously, and a lot of times, unconsciously. So it starts right then.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not upholding the whole victim-blaming scenario. Far from that, actually. I’m trying to understand how the victim, against all odds, can get out of it. Because it’s imperative they do.

One silent woman means 10 more women abused in silence.

“The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people.”

- Martin Luther King, Jr.

How can you empower the victim to speak up and is it always the right thing to do?

Despite Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code criminalizing any form of violence with respect to dowry demands by a husband or in-laws and the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 providing immediate relief to aggrieved women, a survey reveals that in states such as Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, over 70% women who experienced violence didn’t speak up about the incident. Even so, the number of complaints received by the National Commission of Women (NCW) against domestic violence in 2021 is the highest in the last 12 years. So many unspoken incidents and yet the reported ones only keep shooting up.

Despite India’s remarkable progression in many fields, we continue to remain conservative when it comes to gender-related issues.

The first step is to help a victim realize that they have a choice. More often than not, a person stuck in their own situation fails to see a way out of it. Inability to see that they are choosing to suffer in silence often results in helplessness. Helping a domestic violence victim realize that they have a choice and support them to make the seemingly harder choice can go a long way.

Financial dependence of women on men in the traditional home setting continues to be a major reason why women are afraid to report the crime. Their own, and often, their children’s futures are at stake if their husbands get exposed. This is why work has to be done on the ground level. Educating women and making financial independence for girls a non-negotiable goal is important at the early stages. Work for women should no more be a “choice” than it is for men (definitely not a gender-based one).

The consequences of domestic violence are more far-fetched than our minds may conceive. They span physical health, a woman’s self-respect and extend over the children who grow up witnessing the crime, and unintentionally, normalising it in their minds. This has to stop somewhere.

So, when we meet in the real world, how open will we be to talk about our struggles? Especially the ones inflicted on us by our dearest. Can we normalize talking about domestic abuse? About our vulnerabilities? Can that help save crimes? Save lives?

PS: Kudos to Majlis Manch, Sapna, Apnalaya, Action Aid and others for doing some remarkable work with domestic violence victims.

A POCSO court in Rajasthan has awarded death sentence to a man for raping and killing a four-year-old girl, police officials said here on Friday.

Special Court of POCSO cases, Judge Sandeep Kumar Sharma sentenced accused Suresh Kumar Balai (25) to death under Section 5 of 6 of the POCSO Act and Section 302 of the IPC besides slapping a fine of Rs 3 lakhs.

In its judgment, the court said: "The accused committed such a brutal crime against a four-and-a-half year old girl that even an animal would never."

The accused raped the minor and then drowned her in the pond to escape conviction.

During the trial in POCSO Court, along with the statements of 41 witnesses, 141 documents were presented as evidence. The Special Public Prosecutor said that the court sentenced death to accused Suresh for raping and killing the child.

The judge further said: "The accused had tormented an innocent girl who had no understanding other than just eating, drinking and sleeping, and killed her by throwing her into water to destroy the evidence. In such a situation, the accused not only raped the child with the extent of unimaginable lust and cruelty, but also committed unimgainable unnatural acts. Therefore, he should be hanged to death."

Special Public Prosecutors Mahavir Singh Kishnawat and Vijaya Pareek said that child's mother had filed a report on August 12, 2021 that her four-year-old daughter had gone to the neighbourhood on the previous day but did not return.

The girl's body was later found floating in a pond. The post-mortem report showed rape and unnatural acts before the murder.

The police formed different teams for investigation and on August 13, arrested the accused and presented a challan against him in the court in the next eight days.

After the verdict, the victim's father Bhaskar said: "It was necessary for the accused to get death penalty. Now no body would dare to commit such a heinous crime."
