Putin Likely To Use Nuclear Weapons: Ukraine Russia War

As it is taking to long to conqueror Ukraine at the moment which had not in the mind of Putin. Russia lost many soldiers, tanks, planes and artillery equipment. So they are not aiming to vanished Ukraine totally, looks like from the recent reports.

Russia claimed they have seized several weapons in Ukraine and established full control over Melitopol.

On the third day of its attack on Ukraine, Russia claimed that it destroyed 800 Ukrainian military bases. These include 14 military airfields, 19 command posts, 24 S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems and 48 radar stations. Besides these, 8 boats of the Ukrainian Navy were also destroyed.

According to New York Times, Russia has carried out a missile attack on a Japanese ship on the maritime border of Ukraine. A part of the ship caught fire. It is believed that this missile was fired by the Russian army. The ship has suffered a lot. Tug of this ship is being brought to Turkey for repair. 
News Agency AP claimed that Valadimir Putin, Russian President will use nuclear weapons if US and NATO will join the war. The Russian armed forces have established full control over the southern Ukrainian city of Melitopol, Defence Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a briefing on Saturday.

Ukraine claimed to have killed 3,500 Russian soldiers, 02 tanks, 14 aircraft and 8 helicopters of Russia. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a total of 28 countries, including Britain and America, have come forward to help us. They will give us weapons and other military equipment to face Russia.

Meanwhile, France offered to send 300 million Euros in aid and military equipment to Ukraine. The EU has agreed to confiscate all Putin's assets in Europe.

Ukraine’s President enters battlefield in army clothes, pictures went viral on social media.

So far 137 people have been killed in the Russian attack, while 316 are injured.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict took an ugly turn after President Vladimir Putin launched a special military operation in order to demilitarize Kyiv. Kyiv's presidential office said there was "fierce fighting" at the airport.

Despite such a powerful attack, Ukraine is not ready to bow down. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is constantly boosting the morale of the army. He was seen on the battlefield dressed in army uniform.

He said in an address to the nation, “We have been left alone to defend our state.” So far 137 people have been killed in the Russian attack, while 316 are injured.

The Ukrainian government has banned men between the ages of 18 and 60 from leaving the country. It is being said in some reports that Ukraine has given rifles to its 10,000 citizens for combat.

Giloy Safe in Appropriate Doses, Misleading to link it to Liver Damage

As per Ayurveda Giloy is beneficial in many health benefits. The Ministry of Ayush India condemns the report related to its bad effect on human health.

The Ministry of Ayush India clarified on wednesday that Giloy has been falsely linked to liver damage, adding that Giloy/ Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) is safe and as per available data, it does not have any toxic effect if taken in appropriate doses.

The ministry said, "In Ayurveda, it is said to be the best rejuvenating herb. Acute toxicity studies of aqueous extract of Guduchi reports that it does not produce any toxic effect. However, the safety of a drug depends on how it is being used. Dosage is one of the important factors that determine the safety of a particular drug."  


The Ministry referred to a study, which states, "Lower concentration of Guduchi powder is found to increase the life span of fruit flies (Drosophila Melanogaster). At the same time, higher concentration progressively reduces the life span of flies. This clearly indicates that an optimum dosage should be maintained in order to get the desired effects. This infers that the medicinal herb has to be used in an appropriate dose as prescribed by a qualified physician to get medicinal effects."

It said that with the wide range of actions and abundant components, Guduchi is a real treasure among herbal drugs source.

A special focus has been given on its health benefits in treating various metabolic disorders and its potential as an immune booster. It is used as a major component of therapeutics for ameliorating metabolic, endocrinal, and several other ailments, aiding in the betterment of human life expectancy, the ministry said.

Biggest Punishment in the History of India, 38 Convicts in Ahmedabad Blasts Sentenced to Death

Fifty-six people were killed and over 200 people were injured in these blasts.

The 2008 Ahmedabad bombings were a series of 21 bomb blasts that hit Ahmedabad, India, on 26 July 2008, within a span of 70 minutes. Fifty-six people were killed and over 200 people were injured.

A special court in Gujarat on Friday pronounced the death sentence to 38 out of 49 convicts and 11 to life imprisonment. These blasts were carried out by people associated with the terrorist organization Indian Mujahideen (IM) and the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Several TV channels said they had received an e-mail from a terror outfit called Indian Mujahideen claiming responsibility for the terror attacks; Islamic militant group Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami, however, has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

These bombings occurred a day after the Bangalore blasts in the Indian state of Karnataka. After the blast, the Surat Police of Gujarat recovered 29 bombs from different areas of the city between 28 July and 31 July 2008, 17 of them in Varachha area and others in Katargam, Mahidharpura and Umra areas.

The trial began in December 2009, was conducted against 78 people. During the trial of the case, the prosecution examined 1100 witnesses. The bombs were planted in Tiffin carriers on bicycles, markets, hospitals, and other crowded areas. This is the biggest punishment ever in the history of India when 38 out of 49 convicts were sentenced to death on terrorism charges simultaneously.

Domestic Violence in India: Tale of a helpless victim or a by-product of Conditioning?

Domestic violence is the consequence of a sick mind. It’s not a mistake, it’s crime. But what happens on the other side of the door? What choices does a domestic violence victim really have in India, if any?


 

We all know a domestic violence victim. In an ideal world, they would speak up and report the heinous act at the very first instance. The perpetrator would be penalized under the law and it would all end right there.
 
However, in the real world, where conditioning and society exist, it’s not the obvious choice to make. And how could it be?
 
Women, since childhood, are conditioned to endurance. Practicing endurance in their relationships and putting up superficial personas in the society are two of women’s primary lessons that are taught sometimes consciously, and a lot of times, unconsciously. So it starts right then.
 
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not upholding the whole victim-blaming scenario. Far from that, actually. I’m trying to understand how the victim, against all odds, can get out of it. Because it’s imperative they do.

How can you empower the victim to speak up and is it always the right thing to do?
 
Despite Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code criminalizing any form of violence with respect to dowry demands by a husband or in-laws and the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 providing immediate relief to aggrieved women, a survey reveals that in states such as Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, over 70% women who experienced violence didn’t speak up about the incident. Even so, the number of complaints received by the National Commission of Women (NCW) against domestic violence in 2021 is the highest in the last 12 years. So many unspoken incidents and yet the reported ones only keep shooting up.
 
Despite India’s remarkable progression in many fields, we continue to remain conservative when it comes to gender-related issues.
 
The first step is to help a victim realize that they have a choice. More often than not, a person stuck in their own situation fails to see a way out of it. Inability to see that they are choosing to suffer in silence often results in helplessness. Helping a domestic violence victim realize that they have a choice and support them to make the seemingly harder choice can go a long way.
 
Financial dependence of women on men in the traditional home setting continues to be a major reason why women are afraid to report the crime. Their own, and often, their children’s futures are at stake if their husbands get exposed. This is why work has to be done on the ground level. Educating women and making financial independence for girls a non-negotiable goal is important at the early stages. Work for women should no more be a “choice” than it is for men (definitely not a gender-based one).

The consequences of domestic violence are more far-fetched than our minds may conceive. They span physical health, a woman’s self-respect and extend over the children who grow up witnessing the crime, and unintentionally, normalising it in their minds. This has to stop somewhere.
 
So, when we meet in the real world, how open will we be to talk about our struggles? Especially the ones inflicted on us by our dearest. Can we normalize talking about domestic abuse? About our vulnerabilities? Can that help save crimes? Save lives?

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky announced to celebrate February 16 as Unity Day.

Death Penalty For Rape and Killing Minor in Rajasthan, India

A POCSO court in Rajasthan has awarded death sentence to a man for raping and killing a four-year-old girl, police officials said here on Friday.

Special Court of POCSO cases, Judge Sandeep Kumar Sharma sentenced accused Suresh Kumar Balai (25) to death under Section 5 of 6 of the POCSO Act and Section 302 of the IPC besides slapping a fine of Rs 3 lakhs.  


In its judgment, the court said: "The accused committed such a brutal crime against a four-and-a-half year old girl that even an animal would never."

The accused raped the minor and then drowned her in the pond to escape conviction.

During the trial in POCSO Court, along with the statements of 41 witnesses, 141 documents were presented as evidence. The Special Public Prosecutor said that the court sentenced death to accused Suresh for raping and killing the child.

The judge further said: "The accused had tormented an innocent girl who had no understanding other than just eating, drinking and sleeping, and killed her by throwing her into water to destroy the evidence. In such a situation, the accused not only raped the child with the extent of unimaginable lust and cruelty, but also committed unimgainable unnatural acts. Therefore, he should be hanged to death."

Special Public Prosecutors Mahavir Singh Kishnawat and Vijaya Pareek said that child's mother had filed a report on August 12, 2021 that her four-year-old daughter had gone to the neighbourhood on the previous day but did not return.

The girl's body was later found floating in a pond. The post-mortem report showed rape and unnatural acts before the murder.

The police formed different teams for investigation and on August 13, arrested the accused and presented a challan against him in the court in the next eight days.

After the verdict, the victim's father Bhaskar said: "It was necessary for the accused to get death penalty. Now no body would dare to commit such a heinous crime."

The present nine-story building represents the nine years of Baba Atal’s life. There are four entryways on the ground floor, one on each of the cardinal sides. However, the main gate faces east. Within the interior octagonal elevation, additionally having four entryways, is kept the Guru Granth Sahib, enshrined in a beautifully wrought brass canopy, surmounted by an exquisite chhatri. The entryways are made of silver and metal with exquisitely embellished designs. Every Punjabi must visit this Gurudwara to know its heart-touching history and to explore its impressive artistic building.

3. Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Punjab

The next Gurdwara on the list is Takht Sri Damdama Sahib. It is situated in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, Punjab. This place became famous because Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji prepared the final edition of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, which is now being honored by the Sikhs as Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the spiritual guide to all Sikhs.

4. Tarn Taran Sahib, Punjab

This Gurudwara was established by Guru Arjan Dev Ji (The Fifth Guru Of Sikhism) in Tarn Taran Sahib, Punjab, India. This Gurudwara has the largest Sarovar (water pond). It is famous for the monthly gathering of devotees on the day of Amavas (a no-moon night). 

5. Gurudwara Goindwal Sahib

The public opinion poll for upcoming assembly election in Punjab is going to be very interesting as per the latest report. Nowadays, The ruling party Congress is ready to give a strong competition to the opposition parties in next year’s assembly elections. 

As you all know, Congress brought in Charanjit Singh Channi as its new Chief Minister replacing Capt Amarinder Singh. On the flip side, the other party named Shiromani Akali Dal-BSP union is likely to go with Sukhbir Singh Badal as the Chief Minister face for the next year’s election. The other opposition party, named Aam Aadmi Party, is all set for standing in upcoming elections.


According to the ABP-C-Voter Opinion polls, the current scenario of Punjab election news highlights that the “Land of the Five Rivers”- Punjab may observe a tough and strong fight between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party. 

As per the latest opinion poll, Congress expected to get approximately 35 percent votes, up from 31.8 percent as claimed in the last month’s opinion poll. On the other side of the coin, APP may get near about 36 percent of votes, which is one percent more than the Congress party. The third-party- Shiromani Akali Dal may get about 21 percent of the votes, and the Bharatiya Janata Party may settle for two percent only.

With reference to seats, the Aam Aadmi Party may win about 47-53 seats, down from 49 to 55 seats as predicted last month, whilst the Congress may win 42 to 50 seats compared to 39 to 47 seats outlined in the previous opinion poll. The Shiromani Akali Dal union can get 6-24 seats compared to 17 to 25 seats shown last month, and the Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to get zero or one seat only.

Greece invalidates 324,000 Covid Vax Certificates

The Covid-19 vaccination certificates of 324,000 people in Greece who did not take their booster shots have became invalid, the government announced.

 

According to current regulations in Greece, the vaccination certificates are valid for seven months from the day of the second vaccination for those who received the double-dose vaccines, and three months for those with single-shot vaccines, reports Xinhua news agency.

Booster shots may be administered three months after a completed vaccination.

Marios Themistocleous, General Secretary of the Primary Health Care at the Greek Ministry of Health, said at a press briefing that these people's vaccination certificates will become valid again until they receive a booster shot.

Dev D Fame Actress Mahie Gill Joins BJP

Bollywood actress Mahie Gill and Punjabi actor Hobby Dhaliwal joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday. In Chandigarh, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat welcomed both of them into the party. 

Apart from Mahie, Hobby Dhaliwal joined BJP. He said, “I am sorry that Punjab is not getting the benefit of many policies. I want the policies of BJP to be implemented.”
 
 
Polling will be held on February 20 for all the 117 seats in Punjab. The counting of votes will be done on March 10. In December last year, she was campaigning for the Congress councilor candidate.

“I want to do something for girls. I want to raise issues related to girls. Now, I have got a medium to do so,” Mahie said while joining the party.

World's Largest' Igloo Cafe Opened in Jammu & Kashmir's Gulmarg

In a major boost in tourism for India's Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, an Igloo cafe named 'Snowglu' has been set up in Gulmarg. As per various media reports, Snowglu is the world's largest Igloo Cafe which has been set up in Gulmarg. 

To register its name in the Guinness Book of World Record, Igloo Cafe owner Mahur while speaking to a news wire stated that they have applied it to registered in the world record book and also informed that the last world record is from Switzerland in 2016, however, Gulmarg's Igloo Cafe has surpassed that. 


 

An Igloo cafe named 'Snowglu' has been set up in Gulmarg. It is 37.5 feet tall and 44.5 feet in diameter.

As per IANS, this is the second consecutive year an Igloo Cafe has been set up in India by the Kolahoi Green Hotel & Resorts in Gulmarg. The management of the Igloo Cafe said the concept of a snow cafe has been a big success in Switzerland, Finland and Canada, and the response to the Igloo Cafe in the ski resort of Gulmarg has been quite encouraging. The construction of this year's Igloo was done by a team of around 20 members, headed by Syed Waseem Shah and the Kolahoi group team working in shifts.

Rahul Gandhi the Sr. Congress Party leader during his virtual rally in Ludhiana on Sunday announced the CM Face of the party.

During his virtual rally in Ludhiana, Rahul made the official announcement. Channi was among the favourite choice. It was a call between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Charanjit Singh Channi.

Just two weeks ahead of Assembly polls in the Congress-ruled Punjab, party leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday announced incumbent Charanjit Singh Channi as the party's chief ministerial face for the polls.

State party Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was in the race, hugged Channi on the stage as Gandhi announced his name after over 45 minutes of his speech, televised across the 117 Assembly seats.
